absolutely right....

but you gotta realize that this would seriously ***** scalpers over, which is is something they're used to doing to people like me....

have you ever had to ay $220 to see U2 from the highest nosebleed section? i have... cause thats how much the scalper wanted....

i was even one of those guys who logged on to ticketmaster as soon as they went on sale, but i still didnt get any....

i think this would help most, not all, real fans out.

While this is a well made video it's the assholes ticket agency/scalpers that caused this. It will be nice to be able to go online at 10:00 a.m. and get decent seats. It will be nice to go to a concert without seeing all those druggies saying "need one--got one". All you greedy bastards did it all to yourself.

It's good in theory BUT

1. Ticketmaster themselves own TICKETNOW which is a company that Re-Sells event tix at a premium... So they're no better!

2. The reality is many fans don't buy tickets on their own credit cards. They often use friends or Family cards because of age or monetary level... You shouldn't need to own a credit card to see a band you love!

It's easy to applaud the "supposed upside" of this system cause Scalpers DO ****... but for many of us - it makes it EVEN harder!

JUST TO BE CLEAR TO ANYONE WHO DOESN'T GET THIS...

I am NOT a scalper - I'm just a music fan who got brushed off by Ticketmaster's CUSTOMER SERVICE when I called for help with my 'Paperless Tickets'.

I am NOT sympathetic to scalpers - BUT I DON'T CONSIDER Ticketmaster to be our saviors from scalper prices...They're just as bad!

So instead of doing nothing - I'm actually doing something to get the word out about the problem ...(With a bit of humor!)

Thanks for watching and commenting!

i see your side completely. its ridiculous but im sure that by the time AC/DC comes to town, they'll have figured something out by then.

ive actually work event security in TORONTO and have been doing so for the past 6 years... theres always problems with wristbands, tickets, backstage passes the first few times a new system is introduced... and even know thatt some of the policies are retarded. but i can assure you bro these things will always work out so that the fans dont get screwed over

i agree with you 100%,went to see metallica at the o2 arena last week and it was paperless ticketing, BUT, we had to queue OUTSIDE the venue at booths to show i.d. and give credit cards then to my astonishment they go in the back and fetch your real (paper)ticket and give it to you.Firstly there is nothing paperless about it and secondly I could have gone straight to the parking lot and sold them if I'd wanted. Waste of time, money and effort if you ask me, and thats without issues u brought up

Wow... that's even worst than I realized... Thanks for adding more to the point. I only made this video for a little fun and to let people know more about it so they won't get burned by Ticketmaster.

Your info makes this video even more valuable to ticket buyers.

Thanks

yes, I'm in the u.k. btw in case that makes a difference. I forgot to say that there were only 6 window booths for the entire venue, so thats a 17,000 capacity sold out crowd queueing to pick up the exact same ticket stub they used to post to you! great vid btw

mate, i know exactly how you feel. i bought a ticket for AC/DC in toronto and was lucky enough to get one for the 4th row!! But i purchased it using my girlfriends credit card as my own one is maxed out. i live in nova scotia which is a 2 hour flight from toronto so she cant come but i will have her credit card and my own id. phoned ticketmaster and got same response and i am in the same sitaution as you and will have to hope that the staff at the arena are more understanding

Ticketmaster is the worst SCALPER of all. That is why they have come up with this paperless ticket thing. To make themselves more money.
